Why Michael started
Greyfield Kitchen
“Am I really giving my dog the best?”
That question became real for Michael looking at Fudge, his own dog.
Watching Fudge every day, the excitement at mealtime, the energy, the unconditional love. Michael realised something didn’t add up.
We care so much about what we eat, choosing fresh, real food. Yet for our dogs, we’re often given highly processed alternatives.
It didn’t feel right.
So Michael decided to change it. Working with food scientists and veterinary nutritionists, the answer became clear: fresh, real food, made with care.
Turning that into something practical for everyday life wasn’t easy. That’s where steam cooking came in. An in-pack method that lets us cook meals inside a sealed tray. No preservatives. No recontamination. Just real food, sealed fresh, for 30 days in the fridge.
That’s where everything changed.
As the idea grew, we set out to create something better. Meals made with carefully selected ingredients, gently steam cooked to lock in natural nutrition and freshness, without unnecessary additives.
Meals that reflect the love we have for our dogs.
Today, Greyfield Kitchen exists for one reason.

How we make it happen
Greyfield Kitchen meals are cooked in our Bedford kitchen to human food-grade standards. NAH Foods Ltd is registered in Bedford, UK (Company No. 07964881). All recipes, formulations, and brand direction are ours.
